Hi Jane,
I came across your site while looking for a
Vickers family. This may or may not be of interest to you. My Great
grandmother is Lily Naylor who gave birth to my grandmother Blanche out of
wedlock in 1902. She took the name Naylor Vickers after her mother married
a Thomas Vickers. Lily later gave birth to Florence [nickname Tot], Isaac
[nickname Ike] and Frederick Arthur Vickers. They lived at 3 Wellington
Street, Hucknall Torkard as it was called then.
You mention 1870 but there were lots of Freds
and Toms then. Could this be yours?
